Subject: M5 Junction 10 Improvements Scheme – Ground Investigation Surveys

Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) is assessing options for a potential improvement scheme at M5 Junction 10. This work involves a range of surveys in the local area, including ground investigation surveys. We are writing to inform you that ground investigation surveys are planned to take place at the Coombe Hill junction between Monday 14th June and Wednesday 30th June 2021.

What will the ground investigation surveys involve?

These surveys will be used to confirm the ground conditions of the land at the junction, which will help to inform the design of the proposed improvement works. The work is planned to take place between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The surveys will be carried out by a team of surveyors who will dig at multiple locations along the junction, with all work carried out in the public highway. One additional survey will need to be carried out within agricultural land fronting the A4019. Traffic management will be placed along the junction, to allow the safe movement of people and vehicles around the works. No driveways will be blocked but the traffic management providers may need to safely direct local residents into and out of their driveways, depending on the location.

If you would like more information about the scheme, our webpage can be found at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/j10. If you wish to discuss any of this information with a member of our team, please feel free to contact us by email at M5Junction10@atkinsglobal.com or leave a voicemail message for us by phone on 01454 667900, and we will call you back.

Yours faithfully
